Tough Winter for Deer

 

 

 

 

 



The winter of 2012 - 2013 landed with a THUMP in mid-October.  The snow is plentiful and arrives often!

After last winter ... which really wasn't a winter at all ... the wildlife is struggling already.

This fawn came up to the bird feeders for a treat in mid-afternoon.  Unusual as the deer prefer the cover of dark.  Me thinks this will be the "norm" this winter!
